These 2 are too old to be kept in the 'maybe they'll make it' category. Time to ship them out.

Where's Cullen going?

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
He may well have been Alex V but the measure of any youngster is are they going to improve the current players by the level Pellegrini demands...?

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
I thought Cullen was our best player in the second half of the friendly. Not saying much I suppose given the performance, but still...

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
Burke was arguably our 7th choice centreback so was hardly likely to get much playing time in the first team.

Good luck to him, and I admire him for searching out first team opportunities in the Championship. Hopefully he gets that at Hull.

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
i think Burke will be a steady player in the championship, not sure if he'll establish himself at Premier League level but i wish him well. Cullen seemed a little bit lightweight but he should look at players like Stanislas who dropped down a level or two and bounced back

I'm probably giving this story more credit than it deserves considering it's only based on one Hull City fans tweet!

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
He has hardly set the world alight anywhere, only had two years left on his deal and hardly impressed at Bolton. I really can't see why people think he should be worth the sort of money their believe he is. I would imagine there is a 20-50% sell on clause, based on profit though.

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
There's just no way it's £1.5m. As much of a shambles as the club has been in the past, there's no way we'd sell for such a pittance. There'd be a riot, surely?

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
Hull fans think that they've only paid £1.5m for Burke.

That has got to be a joke, hasn't it? Unless there is a 95% sell-on fee.

Re: Cullen and Burke ... thank you and good luck
I disagree with the comment “don’t make it” . The player who gets a regular slot in a PL team has to be so much better than the players in pre PL league days who populated many of our old first division teams.

If Burke and Cullen get regular Championship level contracts for the next ten years they will be well paid, comparatively, and set up for the rest of their lives.

Good luck young Reece, will always remember his goal on what felt like one of the coldest nights I experienced in England.

Good luck to them, dont think we'll miss either of them. Good news that Pellegrini is setting the bar higher

Sad. But that's the reality of modern day football.

Where's Cullen going then?

Yet another group of youngsters not making it...

All the best to both of them. I am sure that they will be model professionals and make a good living from the game.

Burke has chosen Hull ahead of Derby as been promised more games - good luck Reece

Thought Cullen would have been giving a bit of a chance this season.

Not surprised at Burke tho, he was massively overrated by some on here.

Someone was suggesting a wee while back we could get 8 or 10 million for these guys.
Reality bites, failing at Bolton just doesn't do much for your valuation

Both local lads, real shame this. But at 21 & 22 they need to have pressed on more by so it's understandable.

I wish them well and hope it can be a springboard for them to kick on
